    2.7 heads on a 2.8?

Okay, this might sound stupid, but I’ve bought a 2001 2.8 Quattro, 72k original miles, I’ve been looking for the best way to make NA power with the 2.8, I’ve heard a 3.0 crank will make it a 3.0, and I’ve heard 2.8 heads will work on a 2.7 to lower compression, so will 2.7 heads on a 2.8 raise compression? If it’s a noticeable drop in the 2.7 to go with 2.8 heads, it would have to be a noticeable raise in 2.8 to go with 2.7 heads.

Just for some info I’m used to building Chevy motors, so I’m used to the cam, raise compression, more power thing, but does this hold tire on these Audis?

Also won’t putting a 3.0 crank in, and basically “stroking” it to a 3.0 lower compression also? I’m really looking for low end torque over top end power.
