    HPFP Internal Parts

I had a fuel leak from my banjo bolt, and as I went to tighten it I noticed that the fitting (06F127213B) was what was loose. As I was snugging it up, I obviously over torqued it as it sheared, leaving the threaded half in the HPFP.

I, with a shortened screw extractor to keep from gouging the HPFP internals, managed to get the rest of the brass fitting out, but as I sprayed the inside of the hole with brake cleaner to clean it out, out came a couple tiny plastic pieces, which I thought was very odd.

Looking into the hole where the fitting goes, I can see all the way through to the chamber with the passageway leading to the rest of the pump.

My question is, did I strip out some type of plastic piece that goes in that hole or chamber? From what I could tell, there was ONLY the brass fitting and the aluminum washer in there. Should there be something else as well?

If your talking about the inlet fitting, there is a small "filter basket" in that hole. Thats prob what got chewed up, and fell out.
