    Noise after JHM clutch install

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I just installed the JHM lwfw clutch kit with new throwout bearing and pilot bearing but now there's a new noise. It's based on engine rpm speed and not vehicle speed and when I have the clutch in or out it doesn't make a difference.

I have a video linked below and it's hard to tell but in person it kind of sounded like it was more coming from the passenger side where the starter is. So that was my first theory but before I replace the starter or God forbid reopen the transmission I thought I'd get some input from all of you.

Also side note: are 034Motorsports and JHM the same company? Because when I ordered my clutch kit from them and it was advertised as their kit they make it came with the 034 motorsports lwfw

    Thank you

Sounds like the metal gasket between the engine and transmission is hitting the flywheel. Probably got bent during the install. Should be able to pop the starter out and bend it back or it may go away on its own after a little drive

And no, they are not the same company. 034 actually makes parts, JHM mainly sells rebranded parts. But their kit comes with a 034 flywheel I believe.
