    J492 AWD control module

    I am getting code:

01324 - Control Module for All Wheel Drive (J492)
    004 - No Signal/Communication

From what I can see, its either a control module failure, bad wiring/ connection or incorrect coding. Is it possible that when I was coding the drive select options a while back, this could have messed it up? Also, where is the J492 module located? Id like to trace and inspect connections but I cant seem to find exactly where it is or what I am looking for. Fuses all check out and I am just chasing the last soft code that wont go away. Any help is greatly appreciated!

The J492 is for the sport diff. Do you have the sport diff?
You truncated the DTC; what control module is this error coming from?
You probably turned on an option for Charisma that expects the sport diff to be present.

That's kind of what I was thinking. It was one of those things when I first got the car and was pumped to try new coding options. Is there any way to determine what the default coding was?
Its coming from the Central Electric. And the " No Signal/Communication" would seem to support this theory. Ideally, I'd like to simply revert to the factory settings and should have documented this in the first place.

J519 is what I suspected. You probably need to go into the long coding of the J519, find the byte with the Charisma bits, look for the sport diff one. On my B8.0 A4, that's byte 8 bit 5.
