whats up everyone? ive owned 5 b5's(4 1.8t's) over the course of 18 years, but been out of the audi game for about 4 years now.

i always liked, and wanted mk1 tt vr6 and one popped up for sale a few hours away from me. the car has about 190,000 miles, so the question is. . .with that type of mileage, is that engine and dsg trans a ticking time bomb? the owner says good condition, and everything works, but thats what they all say lol

car has rebuilt title due to a crash in the right rear, and was repaired. no noticeable damage from the pics. i told the owner id come look at it for 3k, he must be considering since he didnt say no, he just asked my location.

what you guys think, stay away from a 190,000 tt vr6 as it could be a potential money pit?

all depends on the maintenance history. I have serviced numerous 24v VR6's with well north of 200k and one with 325k that were still running strong. I have also serviced some with 100k that were completely neglected and would be money pits.
