    Replacement Hoses for Divert air valve for turbocharger N249 - P/N: 078 906 283 A

The hoses connected to the N249 valve and intake manifold, etc, are cracked and brittle. They measure close to 8mm inside diameter.

I replaced them with silicone hose (attachment blue arrows) that has 6mm inside diameter but not feeling very sure about this. Thoughts?

Should I look for OEM replacement hoses? Would local Audi dealer be able to locate and order this?

Would silicone hose that is 8mm I.D. be suitable?

    Thank you.

I replaced same hoses with similar silicone hose, have been running like this for about a year. No issues.

Do you remember what diameter hose you're using, specifically ID? Thank you.

    I can check, tonight when I'm home. But I'm pretty sure it's 8mm O.D 6mm I.D. I'll update with exact tho.

I did similar on my Allroad. 6mm I.D. If you can find the hoses online, like I eventually had, they’re almost $80 a piece. That’s why I went silicone.

These are good items to snag from a yard car too. Allroad and S4 should all be pretty much identical, anything with a 2.7.
