    AEB engine swap questions

So I have a 2004 Infiniti G35 sitting at my house that I’ve converted from auto to manual and I have a good AEB that I was planning on using for my A4 Quattro but decided that the car needed to much so I parted ways with her. Now my questions are: is running a standalone Ecu required if I wanted to put the AEB in my G35? I know this isn’t a Infiniti forum so I don’t expect you guys to know much info about those chassis, but could I turn the stock AEB wiring harness into a standalone and run the stock Ecu in a different chassis such as this? I’ve tried using google and the closest I’ve came is the AEB to AWM wiring harness swap. Any info or links are appreciated

A lot of wiring work to be done. About 10yrs ago a programmer for C2 Tuning wired his built E30 BMW to run off an Audi/VW ecu, so anything is possible. Going with a standalone would be a much better start with a new harness. I recently bought a new harness to run with my MaxxEcu standalone for my A4 with an AEB, but I can easily pull it out and wire it up to run a 6cyl or 8cyl vehicle.

I seen maxxecus kit for the aeb, did it come with a starting point to begin tuning with?

Uhh, why not just get another VQ? They're quite plentiful.

You can easily make it a standalone but I would highly suggest making it with ME7 as its more versatile and easier to adapt to whatever config you got.

Its still a huge job though if you dont know how to wire , and tune it yourself. Trust me.

Does somebody sell an adapter to mate to your transmission? i think a 2.8 turbo or 2.7t would fit in engine bay/motor mounts a lot better since it already comes with a wide angle v6 and youd still have that v6 sound
