275/45R-20 Pirelli Scorpion AS Plus 3 XL

Bought these December '21, and have now had a full year to evaluate. I'm in Northern Virginia and we definitely get all four seasons, although we tend to get a lot of rain and 4-6" of snow during any given "average" snowstorm 3-4 times a season.

Here are my notes:
  1. Incredibly quiet compared to any tire I've ever used on the Q7. I've tried most brands at least once and these absolutely rock in terms of being quiet.
  2. Great dry traction. These aren't "track" tires or "extreme performance" by any means. I'm a VERY spirited driver and I feel extremely confident on these tires.
  3. Rain performance inspires confidence. High resistance to hydroplaning provides a very confident wet driving experience in my experience. I'm quite pleased in this regard.
  4. Snow/Ice: These won't compete with "Winter/Snow" tires obviously, but for the suburbanite, I've been especially happy with the performance. They are grippy and most importantly, they're predictable. I'm pleased with their performance.
  5. I've only had them for a year, but they appear to be wearing slowly and evenly. I'm due for another rotation in a month, but so far they all measure within 1/32".

Overall, I'm happier with these over any of my previous choices. YMMV, but they've earned my recommendation.
