Cool WTB: IE tuning for DP setup + PowerLink Cable ...... APR Ultracharger

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Looking to source Christmas presents for a bit cheaper if possible. Currently APR DP2 flashed at Stage 2.

Was going to do APR Stage 2+ Ultra but i don't think it's for sale anymore? thoughts?

Looking to switch over to IE tune which would require the cable. Here's a link to the product. I assume there's a transferable method given a fee?

Also looking to upgrade to the APR Ultracharger Throttle Body Upgrade

Always looking for new 102mm AWE tips for the touring exhaust.

Let me know if you're aware of any deals or have access to a used one, cheers!

I don't have anything but the cable can be used across multiple accounts without a fee. As long as it hasn't reached it's registration limit which I think is 5 cars

What's the reason for the switch to IE from APR?

hey buddy! great to hear from you, pretty sure i owe you a beer or 5 still!

honestly no good reason other than the ability to easily flash back and forth, have been wanting to try another since APR is all I've ever run. Since we last spoke i relocated to DC and so I've kept the car garaged in NC and have been recently taking it back and forth for weekend trips/scenic drives, but thought it would be cool to have the ability to flash to stock or flash a silly crackle to see if i can give my father a heart attack (parents garage in NC). I'll be taking it in over the next month for the 75k maintenance, getting new wheels/tires, and will order a CR15 front strut brace and APR ultracharger for garage noodling over the holidays.

and back at ya, why have you stuck to 034 stage1 with your sepang beauty?

Cable is discounted for BF and is running around $130 but i wasn't sure about the fee/# of uses, so appreciate the insight.

you can find ie/034 cables for $100 all the time

as far as TB, just get the cheapest setup you can find. a few folks sell 80mm tb kits on the facebook pages.
you can mix/match parts so dont worry about that.

I was thinking of going the IE route (no longer) because I haven't been able to find the next stage for my APR tune. I'm running APR stage 2 currently, looking to flash stage 2 ultra. If I'm mistaken and this can be done (preferably remotely) then awesome.

Not going IE anymore as they don't have anything past stage 2, so it appears looks like i'll be going the 034 stage 2+ route , particularly because they offer the 25% discount when switching tunes.

    A few things
    1) 034 has a 30 day trial, no questions asked return period
    2) Since you're 6MT - When you flash over, you're going to want to pay attention to 1st gear at low speeds - it's jerky AF due to their enhanced, remapped pedal. It was "unlivable" level jerky, and I'm surprised no one else complained about it until me.
    3) I reported this issue and worked with 034 on feeedback to help them develop the "throttle smoothing file". On my car it's called the Beta 7.02 file. I asked for a 3rd set of revisions; but, they said they didn't think any more refinements were necessary. I will say it's a huge improvement over their normal files. It's very livable, and the low speed jerky/bucking/heavy engine break feel in 1st gear is a lottttt less common. It does still occur; but, it's mainly at a specific miles and if you're in the range of 0-20% throttle. I think the speeds are like 6mph and 12mph.
    4) To get this file, all you have to do is email [email protected] and request the specific file you need and octane and that it needs to be the throttle mapping file.

you can buy apr file a la carte. its $150 but you'd have to flash somewhere at a dealer

IE has same file options as 034, stage1,2,dp,TB, test pipes, ethanol.

im 6mt that swapped from apr to 034 and have ZERO pedal problems lol.... something else was making your car jumpy and they had to mod the file. that says its not the file. ive never seen any complaints about 034 files other than when folks were blowing engines up because of meth

034 is 25% off for switching so the total comes to like $600. which is a PERFECT buy in price for what you get!

    Wrong.

    Other people report the same.
I made a video where all I've done is flash between OEM and 034, and it only occurs on 034's tune.
Also flashed between OEM to EPL on the same and the issue didn't exist.

034 wouldn't make a smooth throttle mapped tune if an issue didn't exist. And it certainly wouldn't have solved my issue if the problem wasn't real. They also verified their shop car experienced issues as well.

It could be box code related; but, it's unlikely.
