    Shipping large items

    So now that Greyhound is no longer in the freight business…….what/who are guys using for reasonable shipping rates on large items? I’m currently having the dilemma of trying to ship a front bumper from WA to PA and would love any and all thoughts.

    What!? When did this happen!? I used them some years ago to ship seats from MD to WA.

    Used to be a guy on here that got good deals via Fedex but I think he's deactivated. If you got access to a pallet, I'd request some quotes. Some will be stupid high but you might find some reasonable ones.

    They discontinued service the end of September. Just used them a few months ago. Actually pretty bummed as it was an inexpensive way to get large items moved around.

    Fastenal will deliver from store to store. I had a transmission shipped in expensively. Took a while and no tracking pet se, but good experience. And did I mention cheap?

    Best bet is to look at closest branch to you and closest branch to receiver. You can call your local branch I’m sure, or try this:

    When I did it, there were restrictions of course, and items had to be palletized or crated.
