Hi guys, not sure if this has happened to anyone else.
    I recently bought a 2015 my 16 rs6,
It has had an eventuri intake fitted and a custom tune
    It has only 16,000ks
The fault that has come up is manifold flap bank 1 stuck closed, the previous owner said when the carbon intake was being installed a vacuum line was squashed/pinched which caused the fault.
My mechanic is saying engine out for this issue?
    Thoughts??
    Thanks guys

It could be as simple as a selenoid that needs to be swapped out which would not require the engine coming out. However, depending on your labor rates you might go down a very expensive rabbit hole if replacing the selenoid does not resolve the issue. I speak from experience. If I would do things again I would just straight up replace both intake manifolds (both banks...engine out) and be done. A good mechanic like I use now will be able to lower the engine about 2-3 inches to work on it but book says engine out to replace. Good luck!

    Thanks for that,I appreciate it.
I spoke with another mechanic today and he said that it is very uncommon on the c7 rs6, he said that the positioning sensor might need to be reset or the vacuum line may have been punctured when fitting the airbox.
If I was to replace the sensor, put new vacuum lines or reset the positioning sensor for the manifold flap, can that be done without engine removal.
Thanks guys, if anyone can help I really appreciate it, as I just sold my c6 rs6 after having major issues, I had to end up buying a second engine and it was engine in and out many times.
