Missing components on newly acquired A3 8P (2010) TSI 2.0 cfba

Just acquired an A3 to work on myself. Upon initial inspection, there are several components that appear to be missing. One is a nipple and a hose protruding from the same component just below the high pressure fuel line.

The next is a seeming sensor comnection on the far left rear engine bay behind and below the coolant reservoir.

See pics for better idea. Anyone able to tell me what these are? Are they missing components or just unused/untapped fittings for different renditions?

I looked at my 2010 A3. On the first picture the top nipple is blank as yours. If I remember correctly that's for CBFA engine. The bigger connector is connected to a coolant line that goes to the fire wall for interior heater. I couldn't find the connector on the passenger side but t you only have ABS there and one connector for the expansion tank.
