I am considering a cat back non res. Any suggestions on what tips to get? The quad polished oval jets or the quad polished GT100? Pics on millteks website aren't super clear - If anyone has fitted pics that would be great.

Also keen on thoughts on res / non-res (doing about 30miles total a day!)

Exactly the photos I needed, thank you!

Are you happy with the sound from the resonated system? Still much louder than stock?

Very happy, yes. I don't particularly care of absurdly loud cars, this is perfect for road trips and sounds great in car when cruising under "auto" mode but also gives some nice deep burbles when in "dynamic" mode.

With how much I like the sound of just my high flow cat, I was thinking of cutting tips off and clamping on these apr's. I wonder though if they will poke out a hair just as the fully exhaust would, or if they'd sit too far in like the stock tips do... I guess the important question is whether or not the apr tips are longer than the stock tips. Also wonder if it will fit on the stock pipe

OP is this on a B8/8.5 model or a B9?

I have owned both, I will say non-resonated on a B8 model is pretty dang loud for sure. On the B9 though a resonated system is barely any louder than stock, at least in regards to the AWE Touring systems I have ran. Between the downpipe cat on the B9 Turbo cars and the fact that the turbo also acts like a muffler I ended up ordering the non-resonated pipes from AWE. It is now perfect in sound, just like the other commenter. In Drive or Auto it is very docile, in Sport Dynamic it is very open and sounds great with some burbles and pops on decel, nothing too crazy at all.

B9 S4 avant for me. Good to know, I was always edging towards the non res myself as I find stock a bit quiet even at full pelt

I’d say the non-res is not incredibly loud; which is perfect for me. I was in a similar position as above coming from a B8 where the non-res was very loud. It’s much more mellow on the B9, but it does have a very small amount of drone.

As has been stated many times, it’s a tight fit on LHD cars with the steering rack. Mine clears, but barely. My (reputable) shop really did not want to install it due to several issues on other cars, but they did and made it work..

    Running resonated with 034 hfc…

Sounds deep, rumbly, and refined without the “hollow” tinny raspy straight pipe sound that goes with a lot of catless setups. However some added drone is present, but nothing that makes you ask “why did I choose this life?”

Im actually running a carbon labs catless dp and just got a non res milltek installed. I actually really love it and believe there’s room to be louder imo. It’s nice and subtle when I throw it in comfort “D” and can get loud when I want it to be on dynamic. I did a res delete on the stock system that drone was horrendous. I really don’t think there’s much drone imo. Even when I’m in dynamic “M” but drive mellow, I can definitely comfortably have a conversation in the car. I also went with carbon fiber tips and think it looks great.
