Any benefits to getting the 034 Rear Subframe Mount Inserts?

I currently have the 034 rear sway bar + endlinks installed in my 2018 A3 and I absolutely love the difference compared to stock - made a huge difference! I was considering getting the billet rear subframe mounts as well, but do they really improve performance (cornering primarily) or are they more for show? No interest if it's the latter...

Well there's nothing to show. Its to keep the rear sub-frame from squirming around affecting toe mostly. I'd be hard pressed to say you can feel any difference, but I did it anyway (along with many, many other mods lol)

Exactly... But people do dumb shit - and I'm hoping not to in this particular instance

gotcha. yeah it does work. i have done all the subframe and bushings available for this car. i would say its worth it.

to be able to notice it, i would say its not subtle. it is noticeable on two facts. one, your very intuned with the ride feel. two, if you have driven your car for a while. depending on you, some may need to be used to their cars for months to years. there is way less slosh and movement on hard turns is what i can notice.

if this works for you, i recommend the rear diff bushing. race version or you wont even notice it as they have street versions. now that i have the race i would prefer a full solid metal version. no movement would be even better for street use. why, cause it helps engage faster with more feel. i still have not seen a metal version yet.

if anyone who knows where to get a solid metal version let me know as i would be interested.

here is the ones i use now.

    Cool

    2018 A3...totally stock?(except rear sway bar) Non-sport factory suspension?

I wouldn't worry about rear subframe bushing mounts on a car thats mainly stock. Cause everything else will flex so much you wont feel the difference.

I have H&R Sport springs with Bilsteins. Whiteline solid anti sway bars. Whiteline caster correct front ball joints.

The 034 front subframe dead set is good to get also.

I highly recommend replacing the engine and gearbox mounts...my OE were shot...the aftermarket higher duro version didn't last 2 years...now I have BFI mounts and its great!

Get some lower/stiffer springs and shocks...this will make it handle better...as will a front anti-sway bar.

APR springs are called "roll-control" cause the reduce roll.

If your tracking the car and tossing it into corners...you might look for every possible mod to make it handle better. Street car doesnt need to be so heavily tweeked.

At one point it loses its "comfortable ride" and rides like its a race car!

Thanks guys. The car is slightly modified - the rear sway bar, yes, but also dogbone mounts and EQT Tune (TCU + ECU) - plus, the car has the OEM lowered sport suspension from Audi. Given everything that's mentioned here, maybe I should look into the engine/transmission mounts? (e.g.: https://www.034motorsport.com/motors...olf-gti-r.html).

I haven't gone down this route previously for two main reasons - I can't do the work myself (which is fine - I can get a shop to do it, but I prefer tinkering myself ;)), but also my concerns about too much NVH. Especially that latter point is a biggie, so how much NVH increase should I expect from e.g., engine/transmission mounts?

I wouldn’t. Waste of money. I’d do the subframe upgrades if you’re pushing stage 2+ only, and are tracking the car. If it’s street only, it’s a waste of $.

I got the ECS version... fun fact the ECS version has to be cut to fit because the tabs extend too far.

    I didnt notice a difference.
