Where the heck is my sliding center console tray?

2023 Q5 appears to have removed the sliding center console tray that I was going to use to add this wireless charging pad. Even the rails are gone, so it can't be retrofitted. C'mon Audi, you can't blame this on the chip shortage.

    Current vehicles:
2009 A4 Avant Premium Plus - Aruba Blue Pearl
2016 S7 Prestige - Sepang Blue Pearl Effect
2023 Q5 Sportback Premium Plus - Chronos Gray Metallic

    Past vehicles:
    2001 A6 - Santorin Blue Pearl
    2003 A4 - Light Silver Metallic
    2015 Q3 - Monsoon Gray Metallic
2018 S5 Cabriolet Prestige - Glacier White Metallic

The B9 Q5 storage console insert basically breaks down into 5 versions, based on certain included features.

do you have the storage package, yes/no (QE0 = no, QE1 = yes).
    do you have the heated/cooled cupholder, yes/no (4M3 = no, 4M9 = yes).
do you have the phone box, yes/no (9W0/9ZX = no, 9ZE/9ZV = yes).
do you have the Audi connect key, yes/no (2F0 = no, 2F1 = yes).

    1) If no to all four, you get the basic non-sliding insert, 80A 864 981.

    2) If you have the storage package but not the phone box or the connect key, you get the standard sliding tray insert, 80A 864 981 C if not heated/cooled or 80A 864 981 B if heated/cooled.

    3) If you have either the phone box or the connect key, you get the fancy sliding tray insert, 80A 864 981 D if not heated/cooled or 80A 864 981 F if heated/cooled.

Simple. And then AoA goes and decides to cut costs starting MY23. Now, if all you have is the storage package, and no to the rest, you no longer get 80A 864 981 C. Now you just get 80A 864 981. Every other country in the world still gets 80A 864 981 C.

To elaborate on the BT/PB PR codes:
    9W0 - no Bluetooth
9ZX - Bluetooth handsfree with audio streaming
9ZE - phone box, with wireless charging and signal booster
9ZV - phone box lite, with wireless charging, no signal booster

I have no idea what "Audi connect key" is or does.

As an FYI, I do have the tray and ordered the charging pad you listed, but I ended up returning it and instead getting this one:
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

You might actually be able to use it since you can actually cut its sides to a certain extent… but I do understand that it would not be as convenient as having the tray.

I have the sliding charging tray on my '21 SQ5 sportback...it overheats my phone and then the phone goes into 'safety mode'

Additionally, if you keep a water bottle, or cup of coffee in your cupholder, the sliding tray won't work.

    Not something I entirely recommend.
