Does anyone know if this is an off the shelf heat shield and whether or not it would work with the SRM long intake?

    TIA

Looks like an ECS Tuning badge on it.

I have heard of other forum members using the recently released ECS 4.0t intake system with great results.

I've reached out to the owner of that car. He has the SRM long intake and purchased the ECS intake shield as a single item without the rest of the intake. As you can see he had to cut the SRM intake pipes and rotate them to fit into the openings of the heat shield.

I've been back and forth on doing this to my SRM intake but just don't know if there would be much benefit at all. When the car is moving there's a lot of fresh air being forced into that area so the only time I see this having a benefit is taking off from a dig. Even then I don't think it's going to lower temps dramatically.

Woah comes with a cover now? That should help with the heat soak at a dig?

I would be absolutely shocked if the IATs post turbo were more than 1° lower with this. Compressing air creates heat, turbos are hot as hell already. Most people run these turbos way out of their efficiency range. A heat shield is only going to lighten your wallet.

well, it would look good in the engine bay as well.

but you're right, with turbos, what matters is the air temp after the IC/CC, not the air temp going through the intakes.

    but it would look good...
