    Turbo inlet install question

I'm trying to get the factory inlet off, and the front hose connector is a pain. I'm trying not to break it but what ever sensor that is is pulling out of the plastic coupling. What am I missing to take that off?

This one? There are some clips at the bottom. I'm about to order an inlet too so I was looking at vids yesterday.

Like spacecase said, I have seen other people using that pick tool too.

The connector was very difficult for me, the tabs were at the bottom and it broke off. I had to replace the hose to the new PN with the better membrane so I just grabed a 90 degree pick tool, stuck it in and pulled it to where it wasn't fully caught on the lip and wiggled it out. It took me 30 minutes of trying to manhandle it and when I got my pick tool it took a minute. It didn't damage the connector at all, but it might damage the plastic a bit.

If you push in while you're undoing the clip it makes it much easier to remove.

Yes! That dang thing. I didn't realize there was a tab on the bottom. Worked it with a screwdriver. Thanks for the vid.

That's only the first step of what is a painful install. Unfortunately it gets worse when trying to remove the screws that attach it to the turbo.

I used something like this which made things easy:

I thought disconnecting the front tube was way worse than the bottom bolt.
