    PLEASE HELP!!!! While flashing JHM.

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
While flashing JHM, my computer's flashing screen went off. It is not possible to re-flash, and the engine does not start.
There is a symptom of not being able to find the VIN number, and the flashing operation is no longer possible.
    Is there any workaround?

I know you’re in Korea so the time is off but I would call JHM for tech support first thing on Monday when they open (keep in mind they are on PST). They are very knowledgeable and helpful with flashing issues and they’ll be your best bet for figuring it out IMHO.

    thank you ripple.
I hope this symptom can be resolved with another program. I hope JHM can solve it.
I am not good at conversing in English, so I have to communicate by e-mail, but I hope this can be resolved.

I’ve always called but perhaps if you explain you only speak korean and need to use a translator to converse they may have an online chat or phone number you can text questions to in real-time. They have great customer service so they should be able to help you get it figured out.

I just got an email from a JHM Technician and got a solution. It is said that I set my flash counter to retry by adjusting it. My car was sent to the service center, but it's 11:40 pm Korean time, so I'm going to go and flash it again tomorrow morning. Your kind reply has given me peace of mind. Thank you.

That's good to hear. How do you adjust the flash counter?

The wording in the email is "I reset the account for you so it should work now." Perhaps what this means is that my vehicle's VIN number is assigned and flashed in the settings of the program.

JHM technicians are friendly and quick. And gave warnings. "Flashing the same ECU file may cause a freeze."
I had overwritten the same file and the flashing program crashed.

Sorry, I actually had the same thing happen to me when I was flashing mine, unfortunately I just misunderstood your issue. Yes, JHM limits the number of flashes you get (it basically encourages you to seek help from tech support, which can be helpful if you’re needing to flash multiple times) but it’s not a big deal at all. Glad you’re fixed now.
