    SOLD

Up for sale is my 2006 S4 Avant. I've owned it since 2013 and my reason for selling is I recently got a SQ5 to replace it.

    142,000 miles
    Clean title with no lien
    Located in Eau Claire, WI
    VIN: WAUUL78E46A203717

    $9,000

    New fuel pump 2022 138k
Both HID bulbs replaced 2021 133k
Downpipe flex sections replaced 2021 127k
New water pump and AC compressor 2021 125k
    New battery Dec 2022
New Oil cooler and lines 2019 120k
    New front axles 2019 114k
Brake pads and rotors 2019 114k

All service was first done at the local Audi dealer. Then in 2019 I switched to a local independent Euro shop after my best friend became service manager there.

The car has NOT had any timing chain service

Two sets of wheels. Summer set are BBS CH with Vredestein Hypertrac allseason tires. Tires have 4k miles and were installed June of 2022. Winter set has Vredestein snow tires with one winter of use. (I honestly don't know what the winter wheels are)

    Modifications:
    -Bilstein PSS9 coilovers
These have been on the entire time I have owned the car. So they have at least 50k miles on them.
    Curt trailer hitch with wiring
I only used it with a bike rack, but it has the wiring for trailer lights.
    Aftermarket bluetooth for music
Thule Aeroblade roof bars will be included

    Body/Paint:
Paint is nice with no major imperfections. Average amount of rocks chips for its age. The biggest issue on the body is the rust on each wheel area. A previous owner rolled and pulled the fenders. This led to the paint cracking and rust forming. Every corner has rust but the drivers side front is significantly worse then the other three. The passenger side mirror is a little tweaked downward and when adjusting the view it sticks sometimes. There is also a rust spot on the passenger side door and a small ding in the hatch where my bike hit it.

    Known issues:
Power steering leak. I noticed it was low in September. I added fluid and over the next 500 miles it dropped about 1 cm on the dipstick. I have not looked into the source of the leak.
Valve covers seeping/leaking oil. Valve cover gaskets were replaced in 2015 at 96k miles.
TPMS does not work for either set of wheels
Passenger side headlight flap is stuck. So the "brights" only work on one side. (It's still pretty bright though)
Windshield washer does not work. There is a hole in the hose.
Missing one of the center caps on the BBSs
The front undercarriage cover is damaged/missing pieces
It burns oil. Approximately 1 quart every 1000 miles. It has consumed this amount the entire time I have owned it and has stayed consistent.

Looks like a nicely optioned car if you're looking for a 6MT V8 wagon.

For anybody interested once the timing chain work is done on these cars they're not as bad as you'd think maintenance wise, usually typical old car stuff. My B7 has 177k on the clock and runs like a top. I burn about 1.5 quarts every oil change.

Looks like a nice car and a chance to get one of these.

I'm realllllyyyyy curious to hear how you made the choice to go with the SQ5 and how that compares. How does the driving experience compare?

Yeah its a really nice car but him replacing with an SQ5 is a matter of choice and I’m sure have his reasons for doing that.Nice BBS wheels btw.

I wanted something with a little more ground clearance. Being able to get a SUV with a "fun" engine was a plus. I was mostly looking at Q5s, but was able to find a 2016 SQ5 in my budget.

I feel like the handling between the two is similar. The lack of V8 noise (and overall noise) in the SQ is a big difference. The S4 also has a more "Raw" more connected feel. Maybe even feeling somewhat "vintage" compared to the SQ5.
