    2012 Q5 Yaw Sensor Fault??

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Hello all, hopefully some 1 can help me.
I believe my Yaw Sensor is starting to fail.
I turn the ignition on and my screen says stability control fault, TPMS and ESP light is on. I have to turn on and off the ignition multiple times before my Audi will start. I did searching, sounds like it's the Yaw Sensor but seems to be 2 of them. And I seem to be having a hard time to find the actual location, I read 3 different areas. Under the drivers seat, under the console or under the steering column.
    Any insight will be great.
    Thanks

Do a proper scan and get an actual DTC (diagnostic trouble code). Then work from the factual information.

All the ESP related acceleration sensors are in a single G419 unit, which is under the rear footwell vent under the carpet under the center of the front left seat. Manual mentions if you drop it, you broke it. So be careful with it.

Oh joy, that does sound like a very pleasant job. Sounds of it, I need to lift the carpet just behind the drivers seat?
    Thank yoy

Yeah, and it mentions if there's not a "bar" to lift, you might be doing cutting of the carpet to create the access.

Google search didn't turn up any real world pics of the situation, but it did turn up a linkable copy of the manual page for the B8 A4 (same system): https://workshop-manuals.com/audi/a4...-g419-/-g536-/

    Okay thank you.
I wouldn't need an expensive scanner for scan for this?

Well went and picked up a scanner.
Didn't say anything about stabilitrack failure, but gave me a whole bunch.

The P0299, I believe my waste gate is leaking. 20221104_204356.jpg20221104_204352.jpg20221104_204337.jpg20221104_192857.jpg20221104_192736.jpg

I think the ECM issue is the relay.
Will pull that out and try to clean it

    Battery was changed last year.
Issue is located, starter relay is causing the issue.
