Had my resonators deleted by my local shop. What are your thoughts on the sound around 2k to 2.5k? Should I go to the shop and let him listen to it?

That's not drone. It sounds like you have a slight hesitation right around 2k rpms. It was most likely there before, but with the resonators deleted, it's just more audible.

First of all I don't know that you can adequately "hear" drone from a recorded clip, as it's a resonance of the exhaust and the engine. Secondly, drone is highly subjective. What one guy considers drone or is bothered by, another may not bat an eye. For example, I feel like 98% of people report the VPS delete is drone free. Yet, I would say there's definitely a bit between 2 and 3k. A friend who hopped in my car for a short ride immediately pointed it out to me, as I really hadn't noticed. Again, it's my opinion and it's subjective. What matters in the end is if YOU like the sound and are happy with it.

Completely agree. More than the presence or absence of drone is how loud it is, and how much that bothers an individual. Also, drone, while low pitched, still will vary in frequency to a degree, and different people have different tolerances to varying drone frequency.
