Volume Knob Repair

Well, my volume knob is broken. It still works but the plastic ring underneath the knob is broken (see photo) and the knob freely comes off.

When I searched for repair kits I found them for the mmi knob and I only found the actual volume knob part number 8T0919070B. But I need the plastic part underneath, anyone know where to get it or how to fix this?

After looking at more photos online of new knobs from underneath I assume that piece that's still in the consol was part of the knob and it broke off.

I think a new knob will solve this issue.
