What's the best aftermarket clutch for a K04 car?

Just curious...I read a bunch of threads and couldn't find any clear answer (maybe because there isn't one), but what is everyone's opinion on the best aftermarket clutch for a K04 car?

Trying to retain the stock clutch feel as much as possible, so nothing with a really heavy clutch pedal and the dual-mass flywheel must also be retained.

Heard too many horror stories about South Bend. EMD Auto, a reputable shop here in So Cal seems to recommend Sachs. I'm going to give them a try when I need to upgrade my clutch. I was originally going to go with JHM but decided against using a LWFW.

I believe some people are running Spec without issue. But Sachs seems to be the most OEM like from what I've read so if that's what you're going for, might want to look into their clutches.

Okay, thanks. But can a Sachs clutch handle the extra power? I'm not too familiar with Sachs, so I'm not sure how many different options they offer.

Says their standard clutch can handle up to 550+Nm. Should be enough for K04 power.

I see in your signature that you have one. Did you keep the dual mass flywheel? And how is the pedal? Stiffer than stock by much?

Weighing in on this. Having owned 3 cars with southbend clutches I can absolutely say that when installed correctly they are as good as any in the industry. That being said for the B8 platform Sachs seems to have gotten it right.

Sachs performance clutch and Sachs performance dual mass flywheel. Obviously a bit stiffer pedal then stock, but having 360 hp comes with that. No issues with that, and not tiring for commuting or city traffic. Don't even touch the gas pedal when I'm in tight traffic.

You can buy from them direct. My engine code is CAED so I believe it's this one.
