    i was just thinking, is the front subframe strong enough to jack up the front of the car so that we can put jack stands under it?

    has anyone tried it yet or is it just theory that it wouldn't take the weight for lifting?

    Use the pinch weld and then put a cloth on your jack stand to stop from it getting all knarly.

    that seems to be an answer to something else.

    let me clarify.
    has anyone used the subframe to lift the front of the car before?

    not sure if your joking. but if you are serious, is there a specific location that you recommend and are you using some sort of 2x4 or something else to disperse the weight?

    have you seen any damage or bending of the subframe or the connection points?

    FYI, my goal is to lift it there and then put jack stands on both pinch welds on the sides. then remove the jack. it wouldn't be there for the entire time im working on the car.

    I use pinch weld to jack up and put a jack stand just under between lower control arm and frame. And, I jack up another side, using the pinch weld or vice versa.

    When I lift my car completely off the floor, I first jack up from front driver side and put a stand under lower control arm and put a stand under the pinch weld of rear driver side. And, I repeat this way on the other side.

    I use the rubber pinch weld tool flipped over on my jack and jack from the subframe with no issue.

    Yea no just dont mar up the aluminum sub. Put in a 2/4 near on center and just enough to get the forks from the lift under the car sometimes. ONLY ON MY CAR haha
