Really good review. I completely agree with them on the interior design too. Several reviewers commented that they didn't love it (mostly the materials) but the layout is masterclass level IMO.

Also, just watched a clip of Jason Camissa on the RS3. He loves it, and sounds like they will be making a video soon.

Off topic, I realize, but on the subjects of interiors - Audi knows what it is doing. I just watched a new review (motorweek) on the RS E-Tron. The interior was so much nicer than in my Tesla. I realized that I could still have the exterior looks of a normal car with the luxurious interior of a high end euro car in an electric performance car. The best of all worlds, if that is what you're after. Test driving several EVs before buying the Tesla, I kept wondering why the interiors were so different from true luxury cars. On the E-tron, Audi stayed with their typical style and really only changed the drivetrain - I think that is a winning formula. Now, if only the car wasn't $140,000...

Back to your post, the new rs3s are really growing on me. I still love mine, and with the mods it is such a great car to drive daily. It would be tough to start over, and I'm still unsure about tuning, but the looks are very appealing.

If they crack the ecu and the outcomes are the same / better I’ll likely replace mine in a few years

I think by 3 or 4th quarter we should hopefully see something for the 8Y platform. I am wondering if its going to be like the newer M3/M4 with the S58 motor that requires your ECU sent to a dealer.

Audi interiors have always looked great. When I went to the dealer to put my order in for the new RS3, I sat in an S4 not realizing it was an S4 (sorry, this will be my first Audi). The interior was amazing. While I like the more modern design of the A3/S3/RS3 interiors, I think they could have given the RS3 a little extra touch of something. The RS Design (green) is nice, but I think it needs a bit more something. It isn't anything that would keep me from buying the car, but I think Audi took a step backward in some aspects in the aesthetics department with the 8y. Granted, they went steps ahead in the handling department with the new rear diff.

Great video but can't understand them crowing about how good the car sounded. I suspect they had the mid pipe resonator delete since they got the car from Unitronic lol.
