    Shifter Upgrade

This might be a weird question, but I have been scouring the internet and forums for 2 hours now and cannot for the life of me find anyone else that has mentioned this.
It is kind of an interior question, kind of a transmission question, but mainly a Q3 aesthetics question.

I need to know if there is any possibility that the shifter in the modern Q3 can be converted/upgraded to the more sleek shifter in the modern Q5/Q7 and many other Audi models such as the A4.

I realize the assemblies are inherently different, being one is manually shifted and the other electronically, however if it is possible, I would like to know, and if anyone has successfully done it.

    Thanks

I haven’t seen anyone do it, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be done. I personally miss the DSG shifter knob as I found it more sporty than the F3 Q3 and ZF8 shift options (4M Q7, B9 S/Q5, C8 A/S/RS6/7, D5 A/S8, etc).

I’ll also point out that all can be manually shifted, so that shouldn’t matter when looking at a potential retrofit. Good luck!
