Exclamation ABS Module Recoding -- Tip to Manual swap

    Hey everyone,

Finally got some work done on the B7 and have everything pretty much swapped in, haven't started yet as I need the manual starter but in the meanwhile I've been trying to recoding the necessary modules.

Now I know it's generally advised to recode everything before unplugging the Tip but hindsight is 2020, it seems that the ECU and cluster recoded without issue but I'm stuck on the ABS module.

Every DIY or even the Ross-Tech wiki shows the coding in this format (xxxxx) but my coding value is (xxxxxxx) and I cannot put any less than those 7 digits. The current code is 0004528 and I've been trying to recode as 09475, as to the best of my knowledge that should be the correct code for my setup.

I've tried login codes as what my old setup would be, what the new setup would be, nothing works.

I'm just perplexed at the coding value that's there and I'm looking for some insight. I feel that I must be doing something wrong.

Figured it out, if anyone is in the same predicament here is some info to help out.

ABS 8.0 coding is different and Ross-Tech has no info on coding for it.

    This is what I’ve learned:
