You guys that launch your car a lot and are at Stage 2 e85 and up are at risk of your flywheel center section breaking. This is less common at Stage 2, but I have seen it many times, and it is quite common at Stage 3 and up. This center section is $600 from DCT and shipping is around $150 to the US.
I installed this DCT flywheel insert with new 9mm DCT bolts, red loctite and torqued to DCT specs of 30nm.
This insert has been installed on an OEM RS3/TTRS flywheel with a part number of 07K105266G. This will fit on any RS3 8V or TTRS 8S.
It is about 2 hours worth of labor to install so you are basically getting the flywheel for free.
