Hey guys! Wanted first of all to ask for some help and ideas. Now I have An AUDI A5 1,8 tfsi 2008. Heard ppl say to hear on the A4 forum too as many here knows a lot about it.
After new timing chain car went from starting but shaky and not driveable. Fixed new chain and all in a kit. Now tensioner is the new design too, all seems well through the hole to see if its good too.
So the car runs awesome and no issues with fuel consumption or so. The only downside is that it usually takes 2-3 seconds to start. Sometimes it fires right up. Now the car can start and be droven 3-4 times, and then the next time I fire up the car the P0016 code comes. When clearing it, it doesn't come up again before 3-4 drives as usual. Note that this is only when it idles the p0016 comes. Engine idles almost perfectly, a little shaky but not too much.
Question is if bad coils can make the P0016?
Also I have tried the following:
New Crank and Camshaft sensors
New spark plugs
New Camshaft adjuster magnet (circle with 3 screws)
New OCV valve (reverse threaded screw)
Tried the usual things that it can be, if we expect the timing to be good. As mentioned only downside is the 2-3 seconds for starting sometimes. Except that all is good with the car... so asking for any more advices before I take it to dealer to save some of the money.
