Audi OEM Sport Exhaust tips fitment issues

Hi All, hoping to find somebody with exhaust fitment knowledge, apologies if covered in another thread, I couldn't find it. I have a 2020 SQ5 Prestige, and like many hated the fake exhaust ports, so I bought the OEM Audi Sport Exhaust tips (in black). Audi parts department where I bought them confirmed they fit..which they do, but the lower bumper cover/valance/diffuser does NOT work with it, so after install had some melting of the plastic insert which I had to have cut out. It sounds fantastic but looks silly with the tips hiding behind a cutout of the original bumper. Problem is Audi dealer has no clue what parts are available to accomodate, and I can't find anything after market. Any ideas. Thanks in advance!!

Your dealer screwed up, those tips are only meant for the 2021+ B9.5 models. The rear bumper is meant to be cut out on the facelift models.

It literally says 2021+ on the official Audi dealer part websites.

You're right, it doesn't look good hidden behind the valence. Have a muffler shop extend the tips out past the bumper a few inches.

When I bought them online it was listed for B9 2018+ and the dealer verified fitment, ECS tuning still lists them for 2020 fitment, so that change on the Audi parts website is new. In retrospect makes a whole lot more sense.

That change is not new. They have been listed as 2021+ since they were released, or at least as long as I’ve been aware of them since February of 2021.

Well, when I searched the parts on Audi USA website I searched by my model and year and they came up, and the Audi dealership parts manager verified fitment, so something clearly was up with Audi. Plus as I mentioned still listed for sale on ECS with B9 fitment: https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...zaw071897edsp/

In any case, already installed so have to figure out if I make it work somehow or revert to the original setup and lesson learned! Either choice not ideal.

If you decide to get rid of it, let me know.
