Finding PR Codes for Brake Pads

    Hey everyone!!

I need new brake pads but my TT comes with 2 different potential size pads. My PR code sticker has worn down so I can’t read the codes that tell me what I need (and it’s not in the logbook).

A mechanic told me I need 312mm rotors (found some cheap brembo drilled ones woohoo) but apparently there's still two potential pad sizes that can't be deciphered without a PR code or taking the pad off and measuring the diameter. He says I need 66mm 76mm (or something like that)

Anyone know how to get access to PR codes by VIN number or some other way? Or if there's a magic way of figuring out what size pads I need without taking the pad off?

*2008 fwd 2.0T in Aus if that helps*

    Cheers in advance :)

I looked up the ETKA for your year and model. It shows only one option each:

    PR-1LJ,1LL
    1K0615301AA brake disc (ventilated) 312x25MM 5/112
8J0698151C 1 set of brake pads with wear indicator 312x25MM

    PR-1LM,1LK,1LN
    1K0615301G brake disc (ventilated) 340x30MM 5/112
8J0698151F 1 set of brake pads with wear indicator 340x30MM

The size difference should be pretty obvious if you measure the disc. You then buy the pad that match the rotor, assuming your rotors match the originals.
