    Brake Aesthetics

I acknowledge the only criteria I used when I purchased my brakes for track season this year was performance. Went with Girodisc in the front, and Neuspeed 350mm in the rear, and they performed flawlessly at the track five times this year, had a blast. Very happy with both products, BUT...

Girodisc really needs to hire a material and finishes specialist to help them with their anodizing. I know the two brands use different material for the rotor hats, but the Neuspeed brakes look so much better at this point. The rotors were installed the same day, so they have had the exact same amount of time in UV light, but look very different at this point. I know these are performance parts, but after spending my professional career focused on user experience and aesthetics, it is very hard not to cringe when I see the Pink rotor hat/Red caliper combination of the Girodisc. Sorry for the dirty wheels!

I think it's the heat and not UV that made the anodized coating fade.
Black usually turns into a bronze but I've never seen it turn pink.

Mine are also turning purple. Not nearly that bad, but figured when I swap rotors I'll hit the hats with some hi temp paint or something

That's the heat. last thing to worry about is the look of brake rotors/calipers when you track :)

Definitely the heat and I’d definitely be upset too.
