    rear diff pinion bearings.

    Has anybody changed the pinion bearings on their rear diff ? and if so did you re use the adjusting washer or is it a collapsible washer that cannot be re used.


    according to elsawin collapsible washer must always be replaced.

    The adjustment washer are thin pieces of metal that sit behind the pinion bearing race. Those are reusable but you may have to change them out depending on the thickness you need. The collapsible washer is used to adjust the preload on the bearings. It must be replaced to maintane the proper preload.
