Sure its 2011 a4 2.0 with cvt transmision

I read somewhere that it can be done as long as the tcm is in working condition and not damaged, can anyone confirm

You’ll be good. The component protection (immobilizer) is built into the tcu/valve body/ circuit board whatever you want to call it so by switching that over to the new trans no coding will be required.
