    New RS4! Homelink not working.

    Hey!
I just picked up a low mileage Sprint blue RS4 and I cannot get homelink to work.

I read several people have problems with homelink however I did not see my specific problem. My homelink visor module works just fine, it does all the flashing etc. per the instructions. For whatever reason, I cannot get the car to blink three times to accept my remote. I have tried programming via the owner's manual, my garage door opener instructions, homelink website. At this point I am assuming the front bumper homelink module is bad.

Do this typically go bad? If so, does anyone have pictures of there its at to get me started?

    Thanks,

    Jason

It may not be compatible with your remote/opener. There are newer standards that require a "compatibility bridge". I recently went through this problem and my newer remote just is too new to work with my B7 homelink. There are other threads of people trying to update the homelink module, but they get stuck at how to actually program the module (It seems like later modules are programmed through the MMI, now just by pressing the buttons).
You're only option as far as I know, if the remote is of a newer standard, is to get a compatibility bridge.
If anyone knows any differently, feel free to chime in, I'd love to be wrong on this.

    Good luck.

    You were correct sir.

    For reference…
    2007 RS4 with Premium package
    Garage door opener: Liftmaster 8365W-267
Homelink Birdge: Liftmaster 855lm home repeater kit

It took a few tries to get the bridge to pair via the car button but eventually it worked.
