B9 shake/ticking noise

Anyone get a weird ticking kind of noise driver side sounds like it’s almost right behind the dash didn’t notice till weather got colder and doesn’t occur while driving over about 10 mph only hard during idle and lower speeds

The two "behind the dash" rattles that I've found so far are the airbag retainer clip in the steering wheel, and the plastic shroud between the hood and the windshield

edit, I was referring to interior ticking, not engine

I know b9s and all audis typically have weird/loud idles but I really usually only hear it in comfort at idle and slowly accelerating like parking or moving out of a parking spot or something like that

Interesting do you know how to fix this ? I know car is obviously louder in dynamic so this might be why but I usually only hear it in comfort

You should probably post a sound clip before you get a load of people telling you your rocker arms have failed and you need to pay $50k for a new car, lol.

I know there was a production date where they fixed the rocker arm issue I forgot exactly when but I ended up checking and my date was after the date where they stopped production and fixed that issue last time I checked my car was produced on 07/18

I have had one fixed and it was really bad. The tech said he moved a fuel line or something. Not entirely sure cuz the service people told me they can’t fix it cuz the car was modified so I didn’t ask, but when I got home and looked he had documented he fixed something and the rattle went away.

07/19 is the date I believe. 07/18 was the old presumed date.
07/18 is when they revised the rocker arms, 07/19 is when they actually used the revised ones in the production line vehicles.
