    Am I missing something?

So I did a deep clean of my avant this weekend. I was cleaning under the spare tire cover and noticed both sides had divots where the panel sunk down. Almost as if there is supposed to be an insert on either side of the cover to help support it? Am I nuts or is something supposed to go here?

That was a weird pic. At first looked like your wheel tub had been extended out like 6 inches to that edge, but just the picture playing tricks on my eyes.

Here's a pic for reference what should be underneath if that's what you're asking about? Or are you asking if your mat back there is missing something?

Thanks for the picture. Sorry it was confusing. Yeah, I'm wondering if the mat is missing a piece or if there is an insert to support the mat that normally goes there.

It actually does look like you are missing the thick matting that is glued to the underside of the carpet. It extends all the way to the edges of the cargo area.
