    Fog light grill S6

    What the best way to remove the fog light grill to avoid breaking any tabs? I’m try to access the tow loop screw in point.

    I looked it up in the service manual, but the instructions don’t seem to apply to the 4.2 c5 models.

    Image1666571443.481418.jpgImage1666571458.999498.jpg Here’s some pictures of the fog light grill tabs on a S6. I’ve never had reason to take them off before, but the tow loop gets screwed in behind the passenger side grill.

    I thread a small rope through the grill, and started by pulling down gently on the top tab. Slight pull on the rope, jiggle while you press down in the square shaped hole on the top tab. You’ll feel the release, and it actually comes out pretty easily.

    Hopefully, this helps save some broken tabs and will be of use to others wanting to install the tow loop.
