    Wow, finally. Did you have to sacrifice a key fob? Maybe they will put together a kit for the 8Y soon.

    Yes, I did. I knowingly wanted this mod done eventually, so I asked the dealer to throw a 3rd key in for me.

    Just a side note... I'm kinda pissed my buddy's 2017 Passat has remote start and my 2023 RS3 doesn't lol

    Was it all plug and play or did you have to cut into the loom at all? Thanks

    Entirely plug and play. From the central box, there were 4 adapters to be plugged into, which basically just go between the existing factory cable and where that plugs into. (In each of the 4 locations) So, the harness goes behind the climate control area and plugs into the 2 large dashboard dongles. Another cable goes under the driver dash and over to the large fuses near the door panel and a final cable goes through the center and plugs in where the push to start button goes.

    I did the entire install from inside the car and the most painful part was getting all the wires exposed so you could plug in.

    Sounds good. Hoping for a green light this will work on the 8Y... Getting chilly out! Lol
