    4L Q7 air suspension install

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I’m looking at putting an airlift 3H system into my 4L Q7. Looking for some input on whether or not to run dual compressors and what volume tank(s) I should plan to run? Any other considerations? This is my first air suspension install. Thanks.

I have always done dual compressors on my air cars. I just finished my SQ5 with dual 480’s. They fill the 6G tank pretty quickly. The only time I would do a single is if there were zero options to do two. Make sure you use 3/8 lines and fittings on the valve body.

    4L Q7 air suspension install

Thanks for the reply. Your setup looks fantastic! I’m in an area where no one has any experience with air ride setup and I’m a complete novice. I got all the stuff from Bagriders. They were semi helpful. I went with 1/4” lines. I also only grabbed a single compressor. The tech support didn’t seem to push me toward the dual compressor setup. After doing some of my own research it seems like the way to go. I still have to pick up a tank.

The Dual compressors isn’t necessary but I
a big vehicle like the Q7 can use a lot of volume to air up, 2 compressors will fill your tank quicker, obviously. Again, 3/8 fittings and line aren’t necessary but a big vehicle will respond (up and down) quicker as the larger line can move more air volume faster.

Tank size, depends on what you have space for, but what was mentioned above applies as well. 5 gallon would be preferable. I did 6 on the SQ5 and the 480’s can fill it to 200PSI, from aired out to full height I only
    Lose like 30PSI.

Feel free to DM if you have any questions, it can be hard to come across solid air ride info these days.

Where did you end up putting your tank? What
style of tank did you go with? Did you run dual compressors? Sorry for the many questions but I can’t tell from the thread. Thanks.

I removed the rear "suitcase" muffler, and mounted the tank there. It was a basic tank, 5gal if I remember right. I had dual Viair compressors.
