Since it doesn’t seem like the computer is going to allow much more power without nitrous or aftermarket sensor solutions, I decided to put some money into maintenance and likely keeping the car. I actually thought, of all things, just the transmission mount would be shot, but surprisingly, it was the only mount that wasn’t destroyed! Both engine mounts were completely separated, with one leaking, however I replaced all 3 mounts anyway with new ones from ECS. The wonderful Tulsa, OK roads also likely caused one of my front struts to leak, so I did all new Bilstein B6 electronic shocks/struts, since the cost of one from Audi was $900+, and all 4 Bilstein were about $1800. Lastly, all new brakes and rotors (stock pads with rotors from ECS), transmission fluid change, oil change, and diff service! These cars aren’t cheap to maintain, but at least that should be everything I’d possibly need at 67k miles. I don’t drive the car a ton and bought it with 63k almost a year ago, and I don’t believe the dealership did much of a recon service on this before selling it since cars were bringing so much money in any shape. My used bmws were always nearly new cars when I got them from dealers (tires, fluids, brakes, chip and wheel repair etc), this one just got an oil change, and I was told I’d need brakes soon, so some issues may have been pre existing.
Anyway, enjoy what’s left of the mounts 😂
