Im rocking a blendmount with a mirror tap for my Valentine.

I'm considering doing that as well. I also thought about placing it in front of the screen as Liquid Smoke mentioned. I would be willing to forego the rear radar detection and would get the Valentine remote display, mounted in an easy-to-see location. First step of course is to actually get the car, currently at the second stop (factory) of the process.

You want a detector as high as possible in the car to have the range. The lower you put it, you're only hindering its performance and if you put it directly on the dash now you have the wipers and such to block it as well.
