CABB pistons and rods into CDHB

    Hi guys.

I have a standard factory CDHB engine in my Audi A5 1.8tfsi 2010 model with 52000 miles and owned since new.

I have a concern that I am now using 1litre of oil in 500 miles. This is a lot.

I have read that to get around this I need to install the pistons and rods from a CABB engine into my engine. Basically put the pistons and rods from a gen 1 engine into mine a gen 2 engine.

Firstly, is this correct for me to do to overcome the oil consumption assuming nothing else wrong with engine as I have got the poor piston rings issue. I understand that the gen1 pistons have the better sized thicker oil control ring which would reduce oil passing into the combustion chamber. I understand that I cannot just swap out the pistons I need to change the rods as well but will the rods fit the crankshaft?

Secondly, does anyone have the correct part numbers for a piston, rings and con rod for the CABB engine.

    Thank you
