    Not that hard to imagine when inflation is out of control and $10k/month doesn’t do sh!t anymore.
    Corona(beautiful city btw) hasn't been affordable in my 3+ decades on the planet, but thanks to mass exodus from CA, my state is now Kali-lite.

    We’re planning our exit already; Corona was a little too hot for us this summer, we were above 100° every day for 8 weeks straight. That said, our house appreciated around 60% in a year so it’s hard to complain. Texas has the crazy heat too, otherwise, it would definitely be an option for us. There are some huge gorgeous houses there for next to nothing compared to California.

    I'm planning to I got that tool that lets you clear the oil from the filter before disengage which appeared to be the only tricky part.

    I plan to run this Oil Change Kit w/ the Liqui Moly 5W40 Molygen in my B8 S5 4.2 V8 --> https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/aud...-079198405ekt7

    At $106.93 for 9 Liters, plus the Mahle Filter & a Crush Washer for the first oil change, I'm wondering what net credit on each subsequent oil purchase would be.
    Last time I did it was last year and it was around $25 give or take to ship everything back in the original box IIRC. Definitely worthwhile.

    Some good brands can be ordered from www.semmotors.com. They also have a good selection of parts, etc...

    Oil might work out to being cheaper.

    Nothing is going to be cheaper than lifetime replacements from FCP.

    I use a vacuum extractor every 3k miles or so and let the shop change the filter every 10k service.
    It removes about 6.5 quarts each time. Refill with oil that meets spec.
