EA839 SQ5 Torque Spec Compilation Wiki

Since the service manual pdf's can be a nightmare to search through for simple things like torque specs, I started compiling the more commonly used torque specs into one spreadsheet for my own reference so I don't have to dig through a folder of dozens of several-hundred-page pdf's.

Figured I'd share it with you guys. I'm just starting, and adding things as I need them. So if there's anything you need just reply below and I'll add it.

I'm keeping it mostly EA839-centric, but all the chassis stuff is relevant for Q5's too.

Thanks, bud. Now I know I probably overtightened them a bit. That probably explains the creaks.

as per the shop manual I pulled these from, and just common knowledge, any control arm attachment point that has a bushing in it should only be torqued under load. wether that means using an alignment rack, rhino ramps, or just a jack under the lower control arm, whatever you gotta do. If you don’t, creaks are guaranteed.

I did jack up under the control arm, but I'm pretty certain I overtightened everything. I'll have to double check and retorque with the correct specs. Thanks again.
