"DSG Fart" noise on upshift in a 2012 C7 A6 with the ZF 8HP - How?

I just acquired a 2012 A6 with the 3.0T and ZF 8 speed. Love the car so far but its so mellow compared to other cars I've driven. One thing I've noticed with the ZF 8 speed equipped cars I've test driven before (a bunch of BMWs as well as a B8.5 SQ5) is you get a bit of a "DSG fart" or whatever you want to call on every shift. My A6 does not have that. I was just wondering how do I get that noise? I've looked at some forum posts and some people say you need an exhaust/test pipes, and others say you need a TCU tune. I looked at some videos online and it seems like a TCU tune doesn't necessarily make this noise, and neither does an exhaust. However I did notice that the C7.5 A6 does in fact make that noise on upshifts.

Is there a specific TCU tune that for sure has this noise on upshifts?

    Thanks!

That's exactly what I'm looking for. Any specific TCU tunes to achieve this? I was looking at 034 motorsports

My stock 2016 will do it when in launch mode....shifts are quick.
    But it IS subtle

You will barely hear it at all (I mean you'll have to really focus to faintly hear it) with a stock exhaust.

Any aftermarket exhaust/muffler delete/etc will give you the 'dsg style' shift farts on high rpm shifts (not AMAX launch control shifts though).

To achieve an even more aggressive shift, a ECU/TCU tune combo will get you there. 034, IE, Unitronic, and APR will work (and I would recommend them in that order for your 2012 model).

Its there, but the exhaust is so quiet stock that you cannot hear it. Open up the exhaust and you WILL hear it loud and proud.

My TCU tune actually softened the noise, im assuming because quicker shift times means less fuel dumped in the exhaust.

I have an A7. After adding the s6/s7 mufflers, I can hear the shift blips when holding the gear longer. I'm not sure a TCU tune would be the factor that adds those blips.

I have a C7.5 A6 3.0t and just deleted the rear mufflers. You can clear as day hear the shift farts.

Same. Deleted my resonator and can hear it. It seems like it's already there but the stock exhaust muffles it really well.

I think the facelift models have a much more pronounced upshift "fart" than the prefacelift from what I've seen.

I had TCU tuned by Melen. His tunes are VERY good. I also had him do my S8 :)
