    Do I need to get a timing chain job?

    Does the car do the cold start timing chain rattle for 1 or 2 seconds? If yes then sadly this is normal and you don’t need a chain job yet.

    Does the car do a warm start timing chain rattle? If yes then you need at least the upper cam tensioners replaced.

    Does the car through timing codes, P0016 or P0018? If yes then you need at least the tensioners, maybe a complete timing chain job.

    I did get a P039100 once in June, and then a P000D00 once in August but nothing since.
