    2012 A6 3.0T high pitch squeal

Has anyone had a high pitch squeal from the front of the engine - after warn up - not when inital startup?

Replaced belts supercharger pulley - and main belt pulley and tensioner

The only thing left is the tensioner for the supercharger pulley

Sounds like it is louder on the passenger side of the engine bay

Any thoughts - or if you had this issue - what did it end up being?

Thanks in advance for any help

Start engine and get it squealing... pull off oil filler cap... if squealing goes away... pcv is bad

Read up on all the posts... you will wanna budget for some coolant crossover pipes, t-stat/water pump, carbon cleaning, charger oil... another can be tackled, when digging in for pcv...

There is a bit to it. Maybe more than many want to undertake.

Involves removing and replacing the supercharger, upper intake manifolds, draining and replacing coolant, disconnecting and reattaching hard fuel lines under the supercharger.

Usually want to replace the tbermostat and water pump while its opened up, since the parts are fairly modest in price, but the labor time is significant whether DYI or paying someone, especially if you have to do it a second time to replace the t-stat or water pump.

I did it and found this helpful. You will need to buy a kit with all the gaskets and o-rings as well. Its really important to raise up the intake manifold runner flaps when reinstalling so that they move freely, or you'll have to pull the supercharger again to untrap them. Ask me how I know!

That's the same video included in the link I posted above. The link has both the video and written step-by-step instructions and photos, tool lists, parts and tips. It's all there.
