Hello fellow enthusiasts. I just picked up a 2017 A8L Sport. This is my 4th Audi.

So far, the car is a complete joy. Comfort, speed and serenity all wrapped into a refined looking package. A true wolf in sheeps clothing.

It never takes long for me to get the mod bug, so I wanted to finally start a thread that captures the journey.

My plans for the car are simple... in theory. Produce a product that is equally comfortable, clean and able to take hellcats to gapplebees.

    Current Mods:
    • DS1 Stage 1
    • Lowered 15mm

    Purchased, but not installed mods:
    • Pinnacle Performance RS7+ Turbos
    • OEM S8 Intakes
    • OEM S8 Turbo Inlets
    • OEM S8 Engine Cover
    • Ethanol Fuel Lines and Sensor
    • SRM Throttle Body Spacer
    • Forge Throttle Body Hoses
    • 20x10 +25 BBS CI-R (Matte Black) w/ 285/35-20 Tires

    Future Mods:
    • 034 HPFP Plungers
    • DS1 Stage 4 - Custom Tuned
    • TCU Tune
    • bTres Datalogger
    • 22x10.5 +30 Wheels and Tires

Only thing I might recommend is going with the 034 plungers instead of autotech. As good or better for less money.

    Update: S8 Inlets and Intakes

Got a pretty bangin' deal on some OEM S8 intakes from a 2014 S8. The bangin' deal ended up hurting when the box arrived with some damaged components. Both Intake Inlets tubes were badly cracked at the inlet clamp point and the passenger side air-box was cut in half during the removal from the car. That said, i decided to be creative, and do the following, instead of paying top dollar for new parts.

    1. To fix the intake tubes, I decided to take the cut-off wheel to them, removing the 6" long clamp/silencer section from each tube, leaving a slight hump for better sealing of aftermarket silicone tubes.

    2. To fix the removed silencers, I purchased 2" - 2.25" x 6" 4 ply silicone reducing couplers and the respective t-bolt clamps.

    3. To fix the passenger air-box, I decided to watch 300 hours of YouTube videos to find the best plastic to plastic bonding materials (OCDDDDDD). I purchased JB Plastic Weld, primarily because it dries black. Hit the intake boxes with normal superglue in a few spots to "spot-weld" them together, holding the correct shape, then coated the interior and exterior cut lines with JB Plastic Weld. Seems to have done the job, and wont ever be seen.

    4. When it comes to installation of these parts, since the A8L never had a driver side airbox, it required the purchase of a few other parts. Miscellaneous hardware, air ducting, and gaskets were needed.

Below is the comprehensive list of all parts that are required to do an S8 intake retrofit, or at least to my knowledge. I believe some parts probably aren't required and some parts, mostly hardware, I probably ordered a few too many of.
