Oil change and refill - VCDS

Hey guys,

The while checking oil via MMI thing is cool -- once -- it actually irritates me when I'm refilling during oil changes. There, I sit and wait for a video screen to tell me if I'm good to go.

I have VCDS, but am only a novice. Can I used it to get precise oil measurements upon refill more quickly? If so, where do I go. I have both 2017 Q7 and 2018 A6. Both beaten, but loved!

Get a real dipstick.

I think the MMI can display oil level to monitor when filling…. Or just get a dipstick. You can get a plastic handle stick off Amazon. Get plastic and not metal unless you like burning your fingers

Dip stick tech has worked for decades!!!!

Is that p/n for 3.0 or 4.0 ? I'm assuming A6 since that's what OP has... But can't hurt to ask.
